Ayrshire and Arran Health Board have been chosen as a Demonstrator project to help build a 'Patient Portal'. This will build on the work that has already been done with this website. It will help promote access to information on line and encourage patients to manage their conditions better. Initially it will focus on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD) and Diabetes and if you have either of these conidtions and would like to help then please see this leaflet.
There are more people living with and beyond cancer in Scotland as a consequence of increasing incidence and survival rates. Living with cancer is now a key UK policy priority. A National Cancer Survivorship Initiative has been established. In Scotland, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Cancer Care Research Centre are inviting people living with cancer and their families to inform policy by becoming involved in this project.
