Our nurses provide a wide range of services including dressings, injections, cervical smear tests and assist with family planning, immunisations, minor operations, the treatment of accidents, advice for travelers and a range of other advice for health problems.

They also provide a Health promotion service, which includes new patient medicals and certain screening clinics like the Diabetic Clinic and Healthy Heart Clinic.  During the absence of our nurses, community nursing staff sometimes undertake duties in the treatment room

Phlebotomist

Dianne Cardno provides a phlebotomy(Taking of blood samples) service for our patients every morning during the week Monday to Friday. This service allows patients the flexibility to organise appointments to have blood tests taken at a time that is more convenient to them.  Patients are no longer required to make a return appointment for a doctor or nurse to have a blood sample taken.  Patients are given the opportunity of waiting to see the phlebotomist if they have an appointment with the doctor or nurse or they can make an appointment with the phlebotomist at a more convenient time.

Patients are referred to the phlebotomist by the doctors or nurses and appointments can be arranged at reception.
